Senior Fellow at the EUI in Florence

From 1.11. to 31.12.2024 I was a Fernand Braudel Fellow at the prestigious European University Institute in Florence. During this stay I not only worked on my next book - a biography of Danuta Mostwin - but also held workshops, gave an extensive interview and participated in a documentary film entitled Polish Researchers in Florence.

A workshop for PhD students of the EUI History Department in Florence:

A long interview I gave at the European University Institute in Florence. In it, I talk about my research on Polish women who emigrated to America after the war and achieved professional success there. In the picture is Voice of America journalist Róża Nowotarska:

The program entitled “Polish researchers in Florence” was broadcast on 18.12.2024 on TVP Polonia and is available online. The authors managed to coolly capture the spirit of the place, which is the European University Institute. My statement begins at about 8.45 min:
